Bodoni Booklet

The purpose of the Typeface Booklet project was to understand and analyze the use of

a typeface, including its creation, history, anatomy, specimen, and usage. My choice was

“Bodoni,” created by Bodoni Giambatistta in 1798. This typeface is characterized by its modern

style and geometric construction. Today you can see its usage in well-known brands/companies/

musical bands/movies such as Calvin Klein, Nirvana, Mamma Mia, Vogue, and Giorgio Armani.

My approach to the design is to retain the elegant identity that Bodoni already has while

simultaneously playing through each page with characters that would make this font stand out.

Due to its history, the main colors were green, white, and red, adding black to contrast legibility
